GREEN DAY ’10

I know, I know, Green Day is so played out with the class of ’09. Also, the band doesn’t even generate particularly wonderful music (I dare you to defy me). However, the point I am making has nothing to do with either clichés or music. What it does pertain to is our first DAY OF MINI REUNIONS!

So here’s the deal. April 22 is Earth Day. In keeping with that spirit then, and the sense of Green comradeship we, your class officers, hope will flood your souls at the mere mention of the color, we’ve decided that April 22 is our first day of mini-reunions. Contact other 09 alums in your area, throw on your best green attire, and get together to celebrate!

But Rose, you ask, how exactly should we celebrate? Well, I don’t profess to being a celebration expert, but I would suggest getting together, writing some sort of check to be made out to the Annual Giving Fund, mailing said check, taking pictures, and then doing what Wellesley alums do best…finding an event with free food. Of course you know that the pictures you take should be sent to rose-ellen@alum.wellesley.edu so we can send the best pictures to the alumnae mag. Also, bonus points will be given for photos that incorporate annual giving (although don’t paint a mailbox green).

But these are all suggestions. You don’t need food, or Annual Giving, or even (gasp) a green shirt to be part of Green Day. All you need are a total of at least 3 ’09 alums, and the inclination to have a good time!
