Spirit Fund

What is the Spirit Fund?

Our Class Spirit Fund is a discretionary fund comprised entirely of alumnae donations. The Spirit Fund pays for financial aid for alumnae who may find it financially difficult to attend reunion.

Donation to our Class Spirit Fund is entirely voluntary, but it allows every classmate a chance to attend and enjoy our first class reunion. We encourage classmates to give if they can. Every little bit helps!

In the past, the demand for financial aid from the Spirit Fund has always exceeded the funds available (so please give generously if you can!). On the off chance that there is extra money in the Spirit Fund after Reunion, it will go to our class council fund to be invested for future reunions and activities.

How Can I Contribute to the Spirit Fund?

  1. When registering, you can round up your reunion total.
  2. Via Venmo. Send your contribution to our class treasurer Esther Jang at “esther”. Please note that you are contributing to the “Spirit Fund.”
  3. Via Paypal at wellesley09.dues@gmail.com. Please note that you are contributing to the “Spirit Fund.” (We have noticed that certain PayPal payment options cause a fee to be taken out of your lifetime membership. To avoid a fee, make sure to select “I’m sending money to family or friends” and pay using PayPal balance and/or a bank account. Venmo never has fees, so if you can, please pay dues via Venmo so that 100% of your dues will go towards fun class events!)

Tax Deductible?

Why, yes it is! Contact us if you need a tax receipt.
